The review process

Publishing a station does not make it appear in the app right away. The first station under an operator account that sends data is held for review by the goodcharge team, and that single review affects every station on the account, not just the one being reviewed.

One review, one operator

The station that triggers the review is whichever one is first to send data — the first publish from a new operator account. state.review.station_id on any station's state names that station, so you can tell which one it is.

Until that review is decided, every station belonging to the operator shows orange, including stations published after the reviewed one. orange does not mean an individual station is waiting its turn — it means the operator as a whole is waiting on this one decision.

Once it is approved

Once the reviewed station is approved, later stations skip review entirely: they go straight to green as soon as they are published. There is no per-station review after the first one — the account, not the station, is what gets vetted.

This is why adding a station and publishing your first station both call out that only the very first station goes through this wait.

If it is refused

A refusal sets the station's dot to red, the same status a rejected request or 15 minutes of silence would produce. Publish the station again to move it forward.

Every other station on the account keeps showing orange until that first station's review is decided.
