Replacing a station already on the map

goodcharge imports stations from other sources. If one of your stations is already in the app that way, publishing it yourself would show it twice. Ask goodcharge to replace the listed station with yours instead.

Your company must be verified first. See The review process.

1. Find the station code

Open the station in the goodcharge app. Its code is at the bottom of the page, for example GC-371VV-CXK2J. Tap it to copy it.

2. Send the request

In the operator portal, open Stations → Replace a station already on the map.

  1. Paste the code and select Find station. Check the name and address.
  2. Choose which of your stations replaces it. If you have not created it yet, add it first.
  3. Explain why this station is yours, in 20 to 1000 characters: since when you operate it, a charge point identifier, anything goodcharge can check.

You can have up to 20 requests waiting for review.

3. What happens next

goodcharge approves or refuses the request, with a note when refusing. Follow it under Stations → Replacement requests.

Once approved, the listed station disappears from the app as soon as your station is visible, that is on its first accepted data. Until then drivers keep seeing the listed station, so there is no gap on the map.

Drivers who saved the listed station as a favourite see your station instead, from the next app version on. Votes and reports about the listed station stay with it: they were about other data.

Cancelling and deleting

  • Cancel a pending or approved request from Replacement requests. If the replacement was live, the listed station comes back.
  • Deleting your station, or your account, also brings the listed station back.

If your station stops sending data, nothing changes automatically: it shows its occupancy as unknown, as described in Keeping occupancy fresh.
